Andrew Bramidge
Chief Executive
Andrew has been Chief Executive of Harlow Renaissance since December 2006 and has a career spanning more than 20 years in regeneration delivery.
Prior to Harlow Renaissance he was Deputy Chief Executive at Central London Partnership (2004-2006) where he had responsibility for sub-regional economic strategy and planning policy, delivery of business retention and inward investment programmes as well as working on legacy issues for the London 2012 bid and other aspects of CLP’s economic development work.
Much of Andrew’s regeneration career has been spent in east London and for ten years he worked in Tower Hamlets, primarily as the Director of Cityside Regeneration, based in Spitalfields. Cityside Regeneration delivered a range of regeneration programmes for Tower Hamlets Council, the London Development Agency and the Government Office for London. Andrew’s work here had a particular focus on small business development, the construction of workspace for small businesses, conservation led regeneration, cultural provision and community involvement. In 2002, Cityside Regeneration was identified by ‘Real Business’ magazine as the most successful not for profit company in the UK.
In addition to his current work role, Andrew is also a Trustee of the Tower Hamlets Business Development Centre and a member of the Whitechapel Art Gallery’s Building Committee, overseeing a major extension project to the gallery.
MY FAVOURITE PLACE IN HARLOW
"This view on First Avenue is a microcosm of what Harlow represents to me – a combination of green spaces, a history longer than many people imagine along with perhaps the best public art collection in the country. Harlow is a town full of hidden, and not so hidden, gems and it is part of Harlow Renaissance’s mission to promote what the town has to offer as a spur to further investment."
